Mobile security dangers are on the rise. They now account for digital fraud schemes like phishing and spyware attacks. Once phones are compromised, other connected devices are also exposed to threats. If this happens, the risks include loss of sensitive information, resources, and company credibility. Fortunately, by remaining aware and implementing safety measures, the organization can use their phones for work with confidence.

For example, employees should know that connecting to open WiFi networks that do not require a password or use encryption exposes the device to bad actors. Cybercriminals can snoop into a user’s online activity through the insecure network. They can also establish a fake WiFi hotspot to deceive people into connecting to it and stealing their information.

To protect the organization, the staff should understand network security. They should be able to recognize and avoid potential dangers when faced with them. And if they do happen, they should also know who to contact.

Another threat that mobile users face is a phishing attack. This is a technique wherein cybercriminals use email, text messages, or voice calls to trick victims into giving over their account credentials like passwords. This social engineering attack usually makes a person believe that they need to take a certain action related to their accounts. For example, a fraudster can pose as a credit card provider to lure account owners into revealing confidential details.

A company can defend itself against phishing by employing an e-commerce fraud prevention solution like LoginID. It uses passwordless authentication to eliminate the weaknesses of traditional user identity verification methods. The solution can identify legitimate users from fraudsters using the employee’s biometrics and device. Strengthen company security with a secure, private authentication for the future – LoginID.
